My wife, Melanie, and I (along with our four sons) live in Mount Vernon, Ohio. I am a full professor at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Interesting note--Michael Schafer.s (1973) brother is my brother-in-law. Melanie and her sister (both graduates of Mount Vernon High School) married Anderson High School graduates. Neither couple met in Cincinnati. It is a small world.

I moved to Biloxi Mississippi 2 months after Hurricane Katrina to help some friends clean up and get their lives back in order. Decided that I liked it, so I stayed (for reasons that didn't work out) Immediately after Katrina I worked as a roofing supervisor, a security alarm installer and with several contract computer companies doing work at the Northrop Grumman ShipYard and the Stennis Space Center. Since January 2007, I have been working at the VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System as an Information Technology Specialist. I still referee soccer, both recreational as well as select. I have been involved in local community theater for the last several years and have acted in productions of The Nutcracker, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, August: Osage County, Noises Off and A Christmas Story.

Keith Ranney

Photo was taken on Jan. 21st, 2007 at a Maui cultural event Keith coordinated and where Bentley was performing.

2008 will mark my 10th year of residence on the islands. I didn't move here because I won the lottery or achieved some particular financial success. It was really a leap of faith and a healing pilgrimage. I'm a true multitasker and have multiple vocations. I completed formal training as a certified Hanna Somatic Educator which changed my orientation to my body and resolved neuro-muscular trauma from "high" diving. My life partner, Bentley [www.bentleyk.com], and I will be celebrating our 8th year together. She's left the corporate music scene and has been doing solo entertainment work. I'm still her "roadie for life" and occasional musical partner. I never expected to have a parenthood experience, and, although I'm not one (biologically), I have the joy of being involved in Bentley's kids lives. Bentley owns 1.5 acres of lush jungle 3300 feet up the side of Haleakala with a view to forever. I'm trying my hand at organic gardening and use a non-powered push mower to cut the grass (my contribution to the environment). I'm still involved in digital media (Keith Ranney Studio) and volunteer coordinating (Maui Film Festival) but have embarked in another career direction. I'm pursuing Certified Financial Planner credentials to enhance my work as a home equity strategist and wealth builder. The company I helped found in 1996, Sharebuilder.com, was recently purchased by ING Groep. It wasn't nearly the windfall I had hoped for, but a success none the less. I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone at the 2008 reunion. www.keithranney.com

I am living in North Carolina with Carol, my bride of 27 years. We have two beautiful daughters and a grandson named Silas. By the time the reunion rolls around we will have a new granddaughter.

I left school and did some traveling and recording with an all male gospel quartet before leaving Cincinnati to work with a company called Safety-Kleen. Our career path took us to St. Louis for 7 years, Chicago for 4 years and North Carolina for the last 6. I am looking forward to seeing and hearing from everyone.

I've been living in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida since 1989 with my husband Michael and our sixteen year old daughter, Holly. We are a blended family and both our sons from previous marriages have left home (Adam 23 and Douglas 22). For the past 10 years, I have owned and operated a business management consulting firm, which assists small to medium size businesses with their accounting and managerial procedures. We love animals and own 3 horses, two cats, three dogs and two turtles. Our daughter competes in Hunter/Jumpers events. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for First Coast Hunter/Jumper Association and Dreams Come True. FCHJA is an organization that promotes equine education and activities for the amateur rider. Dreams Come True is a wish granting organization for children with life threatening illnesses. After the holidays, I will begin volunteer work as a Guardian Ad Litem, which helps kids understand the process of the court system. These kids are abandoned, neglected or abused and they want to know "what's going to happen to me!" and hopefully, I will be able to offer them some support and understanding during the process.

Since graduation day, June '73, I've played in many symphony orchestras around the world. Soon after graduating from the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, IN, I played in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in Brisbane, Australia for two years. Upon my return to the states, I became the concertmaster of the Fort Wayne (IN) Philharmonic for two years and then moved to Savannah, GA, where I was concertmaster of the Savannah Symphony for two years. During the summers of '81-'84, I participated in the Spoleto Festival, an international arts festival in Charleston, SC, and Spoleto, Italy. During my third summer in Italy, I met my wife Mindy, who was also playing in the festival. We've been married for 17 years and have one child, Steven. We've been in Columbus (OH) since 1984 where I am a principal violinist with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Mindy is principal piccolo. I am an avid boater and enjoy going out on Lake Erie and the Ohio River. My boating activities led me to become a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the volunteer branch of the U.S. Coast Guard. For the past several years, I've assisted the Coast Guard at C.G. Station Marblehead on Lake Erie with Search and Rescue. Here in Columbus I teach public boating classes, do boat inspections, and participate in marine safety patrols on local lakes.

I've been a first grade teacher at the Academy of World Languages (CPS foreign language magnet school), am a reading specialist, and received my National Board Certification in early childhood education a few years ago. I am also finish up post graduate work. My husband of 8 years, Steve Kroeger, and I live in Winton Place, near Clifton. Rachel Colina, my 22 year old, graduated from Denison University. Kay Wilcomb Munoz
Currently living in Lee's Summit, MO (right outside Kansas City) and working full time from my home as a translator/editor of Spanish and Portuguese. I met my husband Alberto while studying at the University of Costa Rica. We lived in Costa Rica several years before returning to the U.S. where my husband received his ME. We've been married for 24 years and have one son, Ben, 16, who is working toward a career as a cellist. I still play cello quite a bit and Ben and I enjoy playing together in various community orchestras, theater in the park, etc. The three of us (and Gus, our somewhat psychotic shelter dog) live outside town on a couple of acres near a large lake and lots of county parkland. Wonderful unless you want to plant something and not have the deer eat it.

Flaminio sends his regards from Brazil. He was our foreign exchange student!

Found this site as a pleasant surfing accident. Since graduating from Anderson HS in 1973, I went to UC then to the Medical College of Ohio where I met the beauty and love of my life, Nancy Foreman. We were married in 1980, then moved to Cleveland where I completed my residency training at the Cleveland Clinic. We then moved to upstate NY for my first job for about 8 yrs, then back to the Cleveland area where I practiced for about 17 yrs. We have two great kids, Zachary- just graduating from OSU medical school and starting his pediatric residency at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St.Louis and Katie in her final year in law school in Cleveland. I am finishing out my career in practice at St. Francis Medical center/ Childrens Hospital of Illinois in Peoria, Illinois.
